The use of ORMOCER®s based on inorganic-organic hybrid polymers led to the successful development of scratch resistant coating systems for various substrate materials (using thermal and UV curing).
Properties
High scratch resistance at layer thicknesses of only a few micrometers
Lacquers are colorless and highly transparent
Dyes, pigments and fillers may be added
Combination of scratch resistance with other characteristics such as antisoiling, antistatic or diffusion-inhibiting properties
